C-47FF-HOME

Ready for an amazing challenge?

Do you have what it takes to write, direct, edit, and produce a film in 47 hours?
The C-47 Filmmaking Frenzy is associated with the 2019 Carrboro Film Festival in Carrboro, NC.

C- 47FF and CFF2019

This year the Carrboro Film Festival will add a filmmaking competition component. The competition will be know as the C-47 Filmmaking Frenzy. Naturally, the “C” stands for Carrboro and “47” stands for the number of hours you have to write, shoot, edit and deliver or make a completed film, hence Filmmaking Frenzy.

Why is it called The C-47?

In the world of filmmaking, a “C-47” is a clothespin. The C-47 has been used on sets for over a hundred years. It is used to attach gels and diffusion material to the front of studio and field lights.
